iSwitched
Posted in Personal, mac by Armando Alves on November 10, 2007This is the first post on my brand new Macbook. I’m still loading this beauty with apps, so if you have suggestions, feel free to drop a list of your favourite application, tips and tricks in the comments.

With this laptop i’m currently switching between Ubuntu (home desktop), Windows XP (office) and OsX (home).
Next step: install Windows Vista. Ok, just kidding :)
Oh, my… so many to choose from.
Okay, some of my favorite freeware ones (you can look for them on macupdate.com).
Vienna: RSS reader
Bean: light, but powerful, text editor
Cyberduck: FTP/SFTP
PTHPasteboard: clipboard collector
iStat menus: essential computer performance on your menubar
Growl: notification app
MainMenu: maintenance app
xPad: small note taking app
Good luck with your Mac! :)
Oh, and Quicksilver or Butler as launch app. (Although I’m prefering LaunchBar, a shareware app, nowadays.)
Thanks, MJ.
I’ll try the freeware/opensource ones first.
And feel free to share tips and tricks.
An inspiring action. Enjoy
Another useful app: Senuti (the best way to save musics out of the iPod.
