A Meatball Sundae: will it blend?

Having just read Seth Godin’s book Meatball Sundae, it was a lot of fun seeing him showcased in one of his purple cows, the blender video series from Blendtec. Here’s the video:

Altough at first i was expecting the victim would be the whole book, this was a nice take. And again, do buy the book (and please offer a few more to those old fashioned monolitic CMOs you always complain about).

Absolute Quartet + Absolut Machines

After a levitating a light bulb, Jeff Lieberman teams up with Dan Paluska to conjure another digital beauty, with their Absolute Quartet robotic music machine, with a companion website at AbsolutMachines.com.

Check the video for a ball launching, internet connected, melody maker, robotic composer, operated by you and three robots.

Doesn’t it reminds you of Bjork?

The musical installation is on display at New York, but if you want to experience more musical wackiness, then head to the website sponsored by Absolute, with one big question in mind: “In a absolut world, would machines be creative?”

Absolut Machines

Besides Absolut Quartet, you can also interact with Absolut Choir, where 22 choir members react to the words you type, with your “joint performance” submitted by email. The installation is on display at Stockholm.

This is the TRUE INTERACTIVITY.

Chevrolet Tattoo

Things have been quite busy lately here at the office (besides the moving and remodeling works). One of the things that lowered my usual rate of shared inspirations is Chevrolet Tattoo, a tactical website developed in the last month.

Last year i spent my reasonable share of time showcasing Papervision. Unfortunately, no suitable project or briefing came that was adequate to apply the framework. As you shouldn’t t use a new technology just because it’s there, the right amount of relevance to use Papervision came with a campaign for Matiz Tattoo.

Chevrolet Tattoo

The main objective was to showcase a catalog of vehicles, with 15 available patterns. With few resources available, the idea came: what if we used Papervision3D and allowed users to customize their own model online?

So, there you have it, my perfect excuse to use the Flash 3d framework on a online campaign (in Portuguese only):

Have fun and create your own Tattoo (Cria a tua Tatoo).
